Car Rules :From Last Year-(Subject to Change)

Cars and Trucks

All Teams Must Have Four Individual Drivers.

 

The idea behind this race is NOT one of the smartest we’ve had and whether you are participating or a spectator –

      YOU ARE DOING SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
 

A. Cars

  1. 4 cylinder only; No rotary type engine

  2. 2 wheel drive only;

  3. At least 1 working brake light when the race starts

  4. Seat belt, door and helmet for everyone riding in the car  HELMETS must be DOT approved ~ no batting or bicycling helmets – no hard hats.

  5. NO sharp edges on bumpers & must follow the contour of the car and not extend out past the car width.  Can be no larger than 2 “ pipe.   If the safety inspector doesn’t like it – be prepared to cut it!

  6. 1 Fire Extinguisher in every car and 1 in the pit for every team.

  7. Unaltered Street Tread Tires only

  8. Teams must be registered by predetermined date, ($100).  $25 late fee for entries registered after that date.  You can pay race morning.

  9. $1000 Claim

    1. Claim must be made by the end of 50th lap

    2. Claim is CASH IN HAND to Safety Coordinator

    3. Claimee will be advised of a claim but not who made claim.

    4. FIRST CLAIM is the claim

    5. Teams can DENY a claim but the car is banned for life.  Team can continue to participate.

    6. The Claim Board will decide on any discrepancies

  10. Pre-event drivers meeting attendance and/or early registration assures qualification and can influence starting position.

  11.  All rear wheel drive vehicles must start the race with mud flaps.

B. Teams

1. Each team must have a minimum of 4 licensed drivers.  Drivers under 18 require parent/guardian consent.

2.  Team drivers must change when instructed to do so.

3.  Drivers are not allowed to DRIVE multiple shifts in the same car.  

4.  Each Team is required to provide a safety corner flagger if it is determined that they will be needed.  

5.  Pit area is limited to 1 car length.  

6.  4 wheelers, UTVs, carts will only be allowed for utility type work the day of the race.

7.  NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND

8.  Drinking is NOT a requirement

A. Roll bars
B. Designated Drivers or Camping
C. Disengage the air bags.

 

SAFETY


A. Red Flag/Red Light/Train horn means stop immediately.  Repeated offenders of the stop rule can expect severe punishment and public embarrassment (TBD).  
 

B. Pit Stops are mandatory for: flat tire, if you cause a red flag, multiple non-stops on red flags
 

C. Black Flag – you must exit the track immediately.

D.  Rubbing is racing but be SMART about it. This is NOT a demolition derby

E.  Valid drivers license required to be in the pit area  -- NO KIDS ALLOWED IN THE PITS!  

F.  Head of Safety decisions are Final.

G.  NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND
