Transponders: 2 matching, working, mounted correctly
- Each car needs 2 matching, working transponders. $20 per set. A set is assigned to one car; a new car needs a new set.
- Mount one on the driver side and one on the passenger side, both on the roof at the top edge of the windshield, facing up with the barcode showing.
- Mount them securely and keep them clean and free of mud. Loose, hidden, backwards, or badly mounted tags can miss laps.
- Transponders are checked Friday during the heat races. Any that don’t register must be replaced before you can keep racing.
- Replace any transponder that is more than 2 years old or faded, cracked, or weathered. Don’t store them in direct sunlight between seasons.
